It is no secret technology is rapidly becoming more and more integrated with everyday living. The hospital setting is no exception. St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane recently launched a new online admission platform for patients.
The St Vincent’s Private Hospital Online Patient Admission Portal is a safe and secure online portal for patients to register their details with the hospital prior to their planned hospital admission date.
It offers patients the convenience of completing pre-admission forms from the comfort of home prior to admitting at the hospital.
Using the new platform, patients can complete their online registration on any device including desktop, mobile or tablet. Patients can also choose to start, save and complete the online admission process at any point prior to their planned hospital admission date offering flexibility.
Depending on medical history, online registration can take a person approximately 15 to 45 minutes to complete.
St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane Clinical Informatics Manager, Mrs Fiona Olsen was pleased to see the portal go live on Thursday 12 November 2020.
“This is the tenth private hospital within the St Vincent’s Health Australia network to launch the online patient admission portal,” Mrs Olsen said.
“It’s proving to be successful at other facilities, so it was an easy decision to adopt the platform and launch it at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane,” Mrs Olsen added.
“We are continually looking for digital solutions that will help enhance patient experiences with us,” Mrs Olsen said.
“Not only does the online admission portal offer patients convenience and choice, it also supports workplace efficiencies from an operational perspective and reduces the amount of printed paperwork needed by the hospital,” Mrs Olsen said.
