Queensland Health Minister Lawrence Springborg was welcomed to Holy Spirit Northside on Friday August 3rd August, by General Manager Daniele Doyle and Medical Director Dr Robert Barnett.
Daniele Doyle said, “The Minister’s visit gave us the opportunity to showcase our hospital and to discuss business opportunities between public and private sectors”.
“Our co-location agreement with The Prince Charles Hospital has availed many of our attending medical community dual research, training and innovation opportunities which support high-end medical and surgical advancement - this is particularly the case in the cardiac services. Our cardiac patients will benefit through improved outcomes and standards of care.
By combining these opportunities this campus is establishing itself as one of the best cardiac facilities in the world.” Dr Rob Barnett continued, “As the ICU Director as well as the Medical Director, I was able to explain and provide Mr Springborg with an insight into the high level of critical care services we are required to provide here to support this acute tertiary facility.
This visit allowed Minister Springborg the opportunity to experience firsthand the innovative work being performed here and affirmed Holy Spirit Northside’s established reputation as an acute tertiary private Catholic hospital.
