St Vincent’s hospitals’ and aged care COVID-19 safety information

What you need to know

Our hospitals and aged care residences have responded to the challenge of the COVID19 pandemic with a range of safety measures designed to minimise the risk of infection to our patients, residents, visitors and staff.

St Vincent’s COVID-19 safety measures are continually reviewed and updated in line with local and commonwealth government guidelines and may vary across states.

Sign-in upon entry

You will need to sign-in upon entry to any of our facilities. Sign-in includes collection of your personal information, questions about your health and may also include temperature checking.

You will be denied entry if:

  • You have respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath
  • You have recently arrived from overseas or visited certain COVID-19 “hotspots”.
  • You have had recent contact with a person infected with COVID-19 Social distancing
  • You may be asked to wear a mask and to practice social distancing at all times while on hospital or residential care grounds.

Visiting or accompanying patients

Our COVID-19 safety measures affect who can visit and accompany patients and residents to appointments at the hospital. They also affect visiting times. Please check COVID-19 safety information on the hospital or aged care homepage before each visit as these will vary from facility to facility.
